Village Clerk's Office
The employees of the Village of Monroe oversee the general operation of our Village. They accept payments for water bills, property taxes, the Building Department and the Village boards. Any dispute of property bills should be brought to the attention of the Village Clerk. Water bill questions should be directed to the Water Department, 782-8341, ext.122.
Village Hall is closed on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Lincoln's Birthday, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veteran's Day, half day on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving Day, day after Thanksgiving, half day on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

All residents who wish to register for the “No Solicitation List” are required to do so in person at the Village Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. Your name will be added to the “No Solicitation” List and you will be given the option of having a sign for your window or for your lawn.
Please note that this list is distributed to each individual who receives a Peddling & Soliciting Permit in the Village of Monroe, and is emailed to those individuals on a monthly basis.
Individuals who obtain a Peddling & Soliciting Permit from the Village of Monroe will be issued a badge that they are required to wear on their person when they are working.
Each permit is good for one year from the date of issuance and is required to be renewed prior to the permit expiration. To see a sample of the ID Badge, please click here.
